Advanced Notes

What We Collect

Advanced Notes collects only the minimum information needed to provide the service:

Your username and password (password is stored as a one-way hash — we cannot read it)
Your Access PIN (stored as a one-way hash — we cannot read it)
The content of notes you create, including titles, text, tags, and categories
Session data (stored in a secure, server-side session cookie)

How We Use It

Your data is used solely to provide and operate the Advanced Notes service. We do not use it for advertising, analytics, or any third-party purpose. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any external party.

Where It Is Stored

All data is stored in a private PostgreSQL database on a dedicated VPS server. The server is not shared with other applications or users. All connections to the server are encrypted over HTTPS with HSTS enforced.

Cookies

We set one session cookie (httpOnly, Secure, SameSite) to keep you logged in. We set one language cookie to remember your language preference. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You may export your notes at any time from the Data page. To request account deletion and removal of all associated data, contact us at the address below.

Third-Party Services

The app loads fonts (Inter, Noto Sans Arabic, Sora) and UI libraries (Bootstrap, Bootstrap Icons) from Google Fonts and jsDelivr CDN. These are standard public CDNs. No personal data is sent to them. No other third-party services are used.
